Design House Stockholm Aria Coffee Table 90 cm

Aria Coffee Table 90 cm by Design House Stockholm is a striking study in balance and lightness, designed by Icelandic designer Dögg Guðmundsdóttir. Its tapered legs create a captivating optical illusion, making the circular tabletop appear to float freely above the floor, as if suspended in mid-air. The legs protrude slightly above the rimmed top surface, holding it in a firm yet visually delicate grip that balances a sense of flight with permanence.

Named after the musical term for a solo melody, Aria reflects its designer's fascination with movement and air. First presented at The Cabinetmaker's Autumn Exhibition in Copenhagen in 2015, the collection has since grown in scale and now comes in a range of heights and diameters. Available in the Low and High versions, the table can be paired with a second, lower Aria table that slides partly beneath its larger sibling, echoing the nesting concept of the original design.

Crafted from solid oak with a Japanese quality dye rubbed into the wood over multiple layers, Aria offers a rich, smooth finish that highlights the natural grain. The tabletop is joined to its base with lacquered steel plates, ensuring durability and structural integrity. The table is available in Oak and Dark Oak, each showcasing the fine craftsmanship and tactile quality of the material.

With a diameter of 90 cm and a height of 30 cm, Aria weighs 13.3 kg and is made from polyurethane lacquered solid oak and powder-coated steel. Simple to maintain with a damp cloth, it brings understated elegance and sculptural character to any living space.
