The Layer Sideboard Low by Design House Stockholm is a minimalist yet expressive piece of furniture, equally at home standing alone or positioned against a wall. Designed by Mathieu Gustafsson, it plays subtly with geometry through a single volume that feels neither fully open nor completely closed. Geometrically exposed slits replace conventional handles, offering small openings to slide the doors and hinting playfully at the treasures stored within.

Crafted with a distinct sense of voluminosity, dynamics, and rhythm, Layer showcases the exposed grain of oak veneer set in alternating horizontal and vertical patterns. This graphic interplay of surfaces and directions accentuates the sideboard's clean lines and gives it a quietly sculptural presence, built upon a solid oak base structure. The piece is available in Oak and Dark Oak, allowing it to complement a range of interior palettes.

Made from FSC™-certified solid oak, with MDF and polyurethane-lacquered FSC™-certified oak veneer, the Layer Sideboard Low combines durability with refined craftsmanship. It measures 180 cm in width, 38 cm in depth, and 51 cm in height, and weighs 54 kg. Simple care is all it requires — just wipe with a damp cloth to maintain its natural beauty.
