Flos Climber Down 87 Outdoor Wall Lamp

Designed by Piero Lissoni for Flos, the Climber Down 87 Outdoor Wall Lamp takes its name from the way it climbs up walls, touching their surface with quiet precision. This outdoor luminaire combines a compact die-cast aluminium body with an integrated LED source, creating a warm, focused beam that grazes facades and transforms them into architectural statements.

The mono-emission Down version channels all light downwards through a narrow 14° spot optic, producing a striking, controlled graze across the wall surface. With a warm 2700 K colour temperature and a non-dimmable LED engine, this matt black edition delivers a refined, understated glow suited to contemporary exteriors and architectural facades alike.

Built to withstand the elements, Climber Down 87 is rated IP65 for water resistance and IK06 for impact resistance. Its aluminium body is sandblasted and finished with a double-layer epoxy powder coating to the QUALICOAT standard, ensuring long-lasting protection against chemical and mechanical wear.

Installation is designed for simplicity and discretion: an integrated 110–240V power supply and an 80 mm outgoing neoprene cable allow for a clean wall-surface mount, while the compact 87 mm profile keeps the fixture unobtrusive against any facade.

Other finishes, colour temperatures, and DALI or 1-10V dimmable versions of this Flos wall lamp are available on request, allowing this design to be tailored to a wide range of architectural and lighting requirements.
