Gubi Matégot Trolley

The Gubi Matégot Trolley is a masterpiece of mid-century design, created by Mathieu Matégot between 1953 and 1954. As the inventor of the revolutionary Rigitulle technique, Matégot pioneered a distinctive approach that combines perforated metal with metal tubing, resulting in pieces that are simultaneously delicate and remarkably durable.

This spacious trolley features two generously proportioned trays that showcase the versatility of Matégot's innovative design. The upper tray is available in a selection of colours, while the lower tray comes in classic black, allowing for sophisticated styling options that complement any interior. An integrated newspaper holder demonstrates the technique's remarkable flexibility—bending with the grace of tulle while maintaining the structural integrity of solid metal.

The Matégot Trolley exemplifies functional elegance through its thoughtful construction. Smooth-rolling castors enable effortless movement across any floor, creating an impression of weightlessness despite its robust build. The interplay between the perforated metal surfaces and tubular frame creates visual lightness while ensuring years of reliable service.

Whether serving as a practical tea trolley, a stylish storage solution, or a striking design statement, the Gubi Matégot Trolley brings authentic mid-century modernism into your home. It represents not merely a piece of furniture, but a celebration of innovative craftsmanship and timeless design principles that continue to influence contemporary interiors.
