Gubi P3S Chaise Longue

Designed in 1964 by architect and designer Tito Agnoli for the Italian rattan masters Bonacina 1889, the GUBI P3S Chaise Longue brings together sculptural elegance, playful expression, and ergonomic comfort. Its form is shaped from handwoven rattan strips fixed to a tubular steel frame, a construction that represents the highest level of rattan craftsmanship and beautifully showcases the material's natural warmth and texture.

As GUBI's first sun lounger, the P3S extends the brand's design language across both indoor and outdoor settings, offering the same sculptural presence wherever it is placed. Drawing directly from Bonacina's archival drawings, the P3S is part of a pair of rattan icons, alongside the P3 Lounge Chair, meticulously adapted for today's appetite for indoor-outdoor fluidity. The piece is the result of a collaboration between GUBI and Bonacina 1889, a legendary Italian house based in Brianza that has shaped the story of rattan for more than a century, having worked with visionaries such as Gio Ponti, Joe Colombo, and Tito Agnoli. This partnership unites a living heritage of craft with GUBI's contemporary design perspective.

Tito Agnoli's name remains synonymous with rattan, and his extensive body of work with Bonacina spans chairs, loungers, stools, and tables, all combining comfort and pragmatism while highlighting techniques such as bending, binding, and weaving.
