Ama by Harriet Allure is a scented candle born from memory and crafted with intention. Founded by Alex Adu, the German home-fragrance house channels a deeply personal tribute into this piece: a homage to the founder's mother, evoking a whisper of childhood, a reverie of home, and an echo of cherished friendships. Its soothing aroma weaves notes of love and warmth into a comforting sanctuary, wherever it is placed.

The fragrance unfolds in three refined layers, composed in collaboration with a perfumer in Grasse, France. Top notes of apple and cardamom open with a bright, sweet freshness, followed by a heart of neroli and cedar that brings floral depth, before settling into a warm base of amber and vetiver. The result is a scent profile that is sweet, flowery, and warm — designed to linger gently in any room.

Housed in a handcrafted vessel made from recycled clay in Portugal, each candle is poured, shaped, and fired entirely by hand, meaning no two pieces are ever quite identical. Finished in a soft creme tone, the vessel measures approximately 10 x 10 x 9 cm and can be repurposed once the candle has burned down. Inside, 280 g of 100% natural rapeseed wax paired with a cotton wick provide an approximate burning time of 50 hours.

The brand's identity draws on the Rams Horn Adinkra symbol from Ghana, representing strength and fearlessness — a fitting emblem for a candle rooted in heritage, craftsmanship, and quiet emotional resonance.
