Normann Copenhagen Puff Bulb Pendant Lamp

The Puff Bulb Pendant Lamp by Normann Copenhagen offers a modern and sculptural take on the traditional rice paper lamp. Designed by Saskia Huebner after a trip to Japan, the collection honors one of the oldest traditions within Asian lamp making, where rice paper shades once adorned the halls of temples. The design finds a careful balance between sculptural playfulness and functional minimalism, resulting in a voluminous yet light presence that suits a hotel lobby, restaurant, or private room alike.

Crafted entirely from rice paper, the lampshade achieves impressive volume without unnecessary weight or material excess. The natural texture of the rice paper gently diffuses the light source, softening brightness and creating a warm, organic glow. Rather than simply lighting a room, the Puff Pendant becomes a sculptural object within the space, playful in form yet quietly functional.

Each lampshade features a collapsible construction and is delivered flat-packed for convenient storage and transport. To complete the setup, a 2.5m white textile cord with socket and canopy is available as an add-on. For optimal lighting, Normann Copenhagen recommends pairing the pendant with an LED Bulb 6W Ø60 – E27, EU White.

Maintenance is simple: keep the lampshade looking its best with a feather duster, or wipe gently with a microfiber cloth. A refined addition to any interior, the Puff Bulb Pendant Lamp brings both craftsmanship and character to modern lighting design.
