Serax Aura Side Table L

The Aura Side Table L by Serax is a striking study in geometry and craftsmanship, designed by Ann Demeulemeester in collaboration with Patrick Robyn. Crafted from solid wood, the table features two flat circles forming its top and bottom, joined by a slender curved pillar and a thin cylindrical column set parallel to one another towards the outer edge of the form. This composition creates a quiet architectural tension, balancing structure with a sense of lightness that echoes the design duo's signature aesthetic.

A version with an integrated LED light in the tabletop is sold separately as the Aura Side Table with LED Light. The intensity of the light can be adjusted by simply stroking the surface of the column, offering an intuitive and tactile way to interact with the piece. This play between shadow and light continues a recurring theme within Demeulemeester's collaborations with Serax.

The Aura Side Table L is available in Beech Black, Beech Cream, Beech Off-White, Oak Stained Black, and Oak Stained Brown, each finish applied by spray lacquer or water-based stain to protect the wood while preserving its natural character. As with all pieces in the collection, slight variations may occur due to the handcrafted finishing process, adding to each table's individuality.

Measuring 38 cm in length, 38 cm in width, and 72 cm in height, and weighing 11.9 kg, this side table is intended for indoor, dry environments. A refined addition to any interior, it embodies Demeulemeester's ongoing exploration of contrast — between strength and fragility, precision and nonchalance, form and function.
