Serax Base Espresso Saucer

The Serax Base Espresso Saucer is the finishing touch to a considered coffee ritual, designed to pair seamlessly with the minimalist espresso cups from Piet Boon's Base Collection. With its sleek, understated silhouette, this saucer reflects the same design philosophy that defines the entire collection: honest materials, quiet elegance, and a form that speaks through simplicity rather than ornamentation.

True to the Base Collection's signature finish, the saucer features a matte exterior that invites touch, while the interior is glazed for a smooth, refined surface. This contrast between raw and polished not only adds visual depth but also brings a tactile richness to the everyday act of enjoying an espresso, transforming a simple ritual into a moment of considered design.

Crafted to complete the whole, the saucer is intended to be combined with its matching espresso cup, allowing the pieces to work together as a cohesive set. The result is a composition that feels both grounded and refined, at home in a minimalist kitchen, a design-forward café, or a carefully curated dining table.

As part of Piet Boon's Base Collection for Serax, this saucer embodies a design language rooted in restraint and functionality. It is a piece that does not seek attention, but rather supports and enhances the object it carries, making it a quietly essential addition to any tableware collection that values craftsmanship and understated beauty in equal measure.
