The edges of this deep plate feature a hand-painted 'dégradé', built up in several layers to create a meticulous interplay of lines. This craftsmanship makes every piece unique, allowing for slight irregularities that are part of its handmade character. Crafted from glazed porcelain, the plate combines refined aesthetics with everyday practicality, and can be freely combined with other pieces from the Dé collection to suit different guests, moods and dishes.

Designed by Ann Demeulemeester, who founded her eponymous fashion label in 1985 before turning her focus to sculpture, ceramics and design, this piece reflects her ongoing exploration of contrast — between strength and fragility, structure and nonchalance, precision and poetry. Since 2019, her collaboration with Serax has expanded into porcelain, cutlery, glassware, lighting and furniture, each rooted in the same distinctive vision.
