Serax Dunes Wooden Plate

The Serax Dunes Wooden Plate XL is a striking example of considered simplicity, born from a shape study by Studio Simple. Through the classic craft of wood turning, the designers arrived at a clean, understated form that lets the natural material take center stage. As part of the celebrated Dunes collection, this extra-large plate stands out as a distinctive underplate, bringing warmth and organic texture to any table setting.

Crafted from acacia wood, the Dunes XL plate is fully food-safe and built to bring natural charm to everyday dining or serving. As Jeroen Worst of Studio Simple explains, the smaller versions in the collection are used at home as breakfast or lunch plates, while the larger sizes make an elegant statement as serving pieces. Each plate is finished by hand, meaning slight irregularities in grain and tone may appear — a detail that only adds to the unique character of the piece.

Please note that this plate is not dishwasher, microwave, oven, or salamander resistant, and should be cleaned by hand to preserve its natural finish and longevity.

With its refined silhouette and honest use of material, the Dunes Wooden Plate XL fits effortlessly into a modern, nature-inspired table setting. Pair it with other pieces from the Dunes collection for a cohesive, textural look that celebrates the beauty of simple design and natural craftsmanship.
