Serax James Wall Desk

Designed by Marie Michielssen for Serax, the James Wall Desk is a versatile piece that adapts effortlessly to daily life. Conceived as a smart wall unit, it offers the freedom to style and use it according to personal needs, whether as a display surface for tableware and books or as a compact desk for working on a laptop. Its function shifts naturally with the moment, making it a practical addition to any room that calls for flexible use of space.

The design language is deliberately sober, built from black steel with a sleek, minimal silhouette. This restrained aesthetic ensures the wall desk integrates smoothly into a variety of interior styles, from understated to more expressive settings, without competing with its surroundings. As with many Serax pieces, the finishing is done by hand, meaning slight irregularities may occur — a natural trait that adds to the individuality of each unit.

The James Wall Desk measures 75 cm in length, 40 cm in width and 120 cm in height, with a weight of 38 kg. It is crafted from metal and intended for indoor, dry environments only.

This piece belongs to the Marie furniture collection by Marie Michielssen, a designer whose work for Serax draws on everyday inspiration and often gives new life to forgotten materials.
