Serax Kubé 5 Pedestal

The Kubé 5 Pedestal by Serax is a striking addition to the Kubé family, a collection built on design restraint and sculptural juxtaposition. Crafted in solid oak with a brown stain, this pedestal plays with clean geometric lines, offering a graphic, architectural presence that works equally well as a display plinth or a standalone sculptural object within an interior.

Designed by Ann Demeulemeester in collaboration with her life partner Patrick Robyn, the Kubé Pedestal is part of the duo's first complete furniture line, unveiled in September 2022. True to their distinctive aesthetic, the piece explores contrasts between strength and fragility, structure and nonchalance, resulting in a form that is both refined and quietly bold. The wood is FSC certified and finished with a sprayed, water-based stain that protects against dirt and allows for easy cleaning with a slightly damp cloth. As a natural material, the oak may show slight imperfections and can evolve subtly over time, a detail considered part of its character rather than a flaw.

The pedestal measures 38 x 38 x 103 cm and weighs 13.7 kg, making it a substantial yet manageable piece suited for indoor, dry environments. Its considered proportions allow it to function as a versatile support for objects, plants, or art within a curated interior setting.

As with all pieces in the collection, this pedestal is finished by hand, meaning slight variations may occur, underscoring the uniqueness of each individual item.
