Designed by Marie Michielssen, the La Mère Coffee Cup with Handle in Venetian Red brings a bold, characterful touch to the table. As part of the celebrated La Mère collection, this cup pairs a vertical, sculptural silhouette with the striking depth of Venetian red glaze, a colour Michielssen chose deliberately to create rich contrast when mixed and matched with the collection's warm dark brown pieces. Each cup is hand-moulded, meaning slight irregularities in shape and finish are part of its unique, artisanal charm rather than a flaw.

Crafted from glazed stoneware, the cup measures 10.5 x 7.5 x 8.5 cm, weighs 0.26 kg, and holds a capacity of 13 cl, making it perfectly sized for a comforting cup of coffee or espresso. It is finished by hand, food-safe, and built for everyday use: dishwasher-safe, microwave-safe, and oven-safe up to 180°C, though not salamander-proof.

Beyond its aesthetic appeal, La Mère carries deeper meaning.
