Serax Perfect Imperfection Bowl Hachi-boru

Discover the Bowl Hachi-boru White from Serax's Perfect Imperfection collection, a striking piece of fine bone china that celebrates the beauty of the unrefined. Designed by Roos van de Velde, this collection marks a genuine innovation in porcelain design: for the first time, imperfection, defectiveness and coincidence are deliberately given a role in the production process. The result is a series of bowls that each carry their own distinct character, yet come together in perfect harmony when combined on the table.

The Hachi-boru bowl measures 16 cm in length, 13 cm in width and 7 cm in height, with a light weight of just 0.21 kg, making it easy to handle and style. Finished with a smooth glaze, the bowl is crafted from fine bone china and finished by hand, meaning slight irregularities may occur — a natural part of what makes each piece unique.

Practical as well as beautiful, this bowl is dishwasher and microwave safe, and fully food-safe, making it suitable for everyday use as well as special occasions. Please note it is not intended for oven or salamander use.

Part of Serax's wider Perfect Imperfection tableware range, this bowl embodies a delicate balance between control and chance, much like walking a thin wire between precision and artistry. Whether used individually or paired with other pieces from the collection, the Hachi-boru bowl brings a quiet, sculptural elegance to any table setting.
