Serax Perfect Imperfection Breakfast Plate Fungus

Designed by Roos van de Velde for Serax, the Fungus Breakfast Plate in white is part of the Perfect Imperfection collection, a range that celebrates the beauty of irregularity. Crafted from fine bone china with a glazed finish, this plate showcases an organic silhouette and an undulating rim that gives each piece its own distinct character. Rather than striving for flawless uniformity, the collection embraces the subtle variations that occur during production, turning coincidence and craftsmanship into design features.

Many pieces in this collection are finished by hand, meaning slight irregularities may occur — a hallmark of authenticity rather than a flaw. This philosophy positions the Fungus plate as a true balancing act between control and chance, resulting in tableware that feels both sculptural and effortlessly natural.

Measuring 18 x 8 x 4 cm and weighing just 0,14 kg, this breakfast plate is practical as well as artistic. It is dishwasher and microwave safe, and fully food-safe, though not suitable for oven or salamander use, making it ideal for everyday breakfasts as well as more considered table settings.

With its sculptural form and soft, organic contours, the Fungus plate pairs beautifully with other pieces from the Perfect Imperfection collection, allowing you to build a table setting that feels curated yet wonderfully unpretentious. A refined addition for those who appreciate design that tells a story through its imperfections.
