Serax Rudolph Coffee Table Rectangular

The Rudolph Coffee Table Rectangular is a striking addition to the acclaimed Rudolph collection by Vincent Van Duysen for Serax. Crafted in solid black-tinted oak, this rectangular table embodies the quiet confidence and refined proportions that define the designer's work, translating a custom-made piece from his own architectural projects into an accessible edition.

The name Rudolph pays tribute to Rudolf Michael Schindler, a key figure of mid-century American modernism, whose built-in banquettes and sculptural sensibility left a lasting mark on Van Duysen's design language. Yet the deepest source of inspiration was far more personal: the sofa in his own home in Portugal, admired for its proportions, lines, and the sense of serenity it brings to a room. That same calm, grounded presence carries through into this coffee table.

Part of a broader collection that includes sofas, single-seaters, and side tables in wood and marble, the Rudolph Coffee Table Rectangular stands as a versatile centrepiece, equally at home alongside the sofa range or as a standalone statement piece. Measuring 140 x 70 x 30 cm and weighing 45.5 kg, it is designed for indoor, dry environments.

As with many Serax pieces, this table is finished by hand, meaning slight irregularities may occur — a natural mark of authenticity and craftsmanship rather than a flaw. Solid, tactile, and understated, the Rudolph Coffee Table brings a refined mid-century sensibility to any contemporary interior.
