Serax Sofisticato Ceiling Lamp Nr 32

The Sofisticato Ceiling Lamp Nr 32 by Serax is a surface-mounted ceiling light in bluesteel, designed by Koen Van Guijze. A plain cylinder of 11.5 cm across and 30 cm high, it sits directly against the ceiling and throws its light downwards, on its own above a table or hallway, or combined with the other Sofisticato ceiling pieces.

The Sofisticato collection owes its raw, timeless look to its minimalist design and the use of bluesteel. Every part is milled, turned, sawn, drilled and welded by hand; the steel is then heated and polished, which gives it its characteristic blue glow and makes it rust-resistant. Small irregularities in the finish are part of each piece.

The Nr 32 takes one E27 bulb of maximum 5 W (bulb not included) and runs on 220-240 V. Using the Sofisticato Connector and the 160 cm Tube, several Nr 30 spotlights and Nr 32 ceiling lamps can be linked into one configuration.
