Serax Surface Mug

The Serax Surface Mug in Indi Gray brings a touch of raw, coastal beauty to your everyday table. Part of the Surface collection by designer Sergio Herman, this earthenware mug draws inspiration from the tidal landscapes of Zeeland, his native region in the Netherlands. Its reactive glaze creates subtle, one-of-a-kind color variations reminiscent of the deep, mystical tones of the North Sea, giving each piece its own character and quiet authenticity.

Crafted from stoneware with a glazed finish, the mug measures L 9 x W 9 x H 8.5 cm, weighs 0.41 kg, and offers a generous 30 cl capacity — perfect for your morning coffee or afternoon tea. It is dishwasher, microwave, and oven safe, with a maximum oven temperature of 180°C, and is fully food-safe for everyday use.

As many pieces in the Surface collection are finished by hand, slight irregularities in shape and glaze may occur — a natural part of the design that celebrates imperfection and individuality, much like the rugged coastlines and shifting dunes that inspired it.

Whether placed on a breakfast table or styled within a broader Surface tableware set, this mug embodies Sergio Herman's philosophy that every surface tells a story. A subtle yet striking addition to any interior, it pairs beautifully with LampTwist's curated selection of lighting and home accessories for a considered, elevated living space.
