Serax Surface Starter Plate

Discover the Serax Surface Starter Plate in Indi Gray, a striking piece from the Surface collection by designer Sergio Herman. Inspired by his native Zeeland, a landscape of tidal islands shaped by the constant push and pull of the sea, this plate captures the raw beauty of the region's coastlines, dunes, and dark, tranquil waters in every detail.

Crafted from stoneware with a glazed finish, the plate features a reactive glaze that reacts differently with each firing, resulting in subtle variations of tone and texture. No two pieces are truly alike, and the rough, uneven surface only enhances the handmade character that defines the entire Surface collection. These natural irregularities are not flaws but a deliberate part of the design's authenticity and depth.

Measuring 24 x 24 x 1.5 cm and weighing 0.83 kg, this starter plate fits comfortably within any table setting, whether for everyday dining or special occasions. It is fully food-safe, dishwasher resistant, microwave resistant, and oven resistant up to 180°C, making it as practical as it is beautiful. Please note it is not salamander proof.

As with many pieces finished by hand, slight irregularities may occur, adding to the individual character of each plate. Please note a minimum order quantity of 4 pieces applies.

Bring the untamed elegance of Zeeland's landscape to your table with this thoughtfully crafted addition to the Surface collection.
