Sowden PL1 Portable Table Lamp

Designed by George Sowden, the Sowden PL1 Portable Table Lamp is the smallest member of his Dual Functionality lamp series, built around a slim cylindrical body and a ribbed silicone shade. Compact and lightweight at just 13 cm wide and 24 cm high, it brings a sculptural yet understated presence to any surface, blending playful design with genuine versatility.

At the heart of the PL1 lies a clever dual power system: connect it via USB to a power supply and it functions as a classic table lamp, or unplug it and it switches automatically to Sowden's own Li-ion batteries, transforming into a fully portable light source. When switched off, the batteries recharge over USB in approximately four hours, ensuring the lamp is always ready to move with you, indoors or out.

The integrated Sowden LED disc light source offers a warm 3000 K color temperature, is fully dimmable, and can be replaced when needed, ensuring long-term functionality. The ribbed silicone shade plays a key role in the lamp's character, diffusing a soft, warm glow while maintaining its refined appearance over time, resistant to fading or wear.

Suitable for both indoor use and dry outdoor settings, the PL1 adapts easily to terraces, balconies, or covered outdoor spaces, as well as desks, nightstands, and living areas. The Sowden PL1 Portable Table Lamp is available in Blue / Orange and Red / Yellow, allowing you to choose the combination that best complements your interior or outdoor styling.
