Stories of Italy Amethyst Variopinto Vases

Stories of Italy presents the Amethyst Variopinto Vases, a stunning set of three hand-crafted Murano glass vessels that embody both artistic heritage and contemporary sustainability. This exceptional collection represents a remarkable creative journey, originating from a 2010 invitation by renowned glass artist Borek Sipek to design blown glass objects. The original pieces were created by his Bohemian glass factory and presented at Spazio Krizia Milano in 2011, later finding their place in prestigious auctions.

What makes this collection truly special is its rebirth through the vision of Francesco Meda, who reimagined his father Alberto Meda's original design using innovative techniques of reuse and recovery from waste glass. Working closely with Stories of Italy's Milano-based studio, Francesco has preserved the distinctive shapes while infusing them with a contemporary aesthetic that aligns perfectly with modern sustainability values. This thoughtful approach transforms discarded glass into objects of enduring beauty.

Each vase stands at a total height of 52 cm with a maximum diameter of 39 cm, making them striking focal points for any interior space. Crafted entirely from Murano glass using traditional mouth-blowing and hand-finishing techniques, these pieces showcase the exceptional skill of one master artisan and three dedicated assistants. The amethyst coloring combined with the variopinto technique creates a mesmerizing visual effect that captures light beautifully.

This is a bespoke creation, crafted for you and ready within 6 to 8 weeks, ensuring each set receives the meticulous attention it deserves.
