&Tradition Numbra TY1 Pendant

Numbra TY1 is the debut collection for &Tradition by Japanese designer Teruhiro Yanagihara, rooted in the elemental idea of the straight line. This pendant lamp translates that concept into a slender, minimal silhouette, pairing lacquered oak panels with tumbled aluminium fixtures for a design that feels both restrained and quietly expressive. The result is a fixture that brings warmth and sculptural clarity to any interior setting.

Crafted with an extruded stainless steel core, the pendant features a sandblasted acrylic diffuser and die-cast aluminium elements, tumbled and finished with clear lacquer. The solid oak sections receive the same clear lacquer treatment, using water-based lacquer for improved indoor air quality. The wood is FSC® certified, reflecting a commitment to responsible forestry, and the piece is designed for disassembly, making future repair, renovation, and recycling easier.

Measuring 11.2 cm in width and depth with a length of 122 cm, and weighing 4.8 kg, Numbra TY1 is fitted with a 15W dimmable LED light source, delivering 700 lumens at a warm 2400K colour temperature and a CRI above 90. It comes with a 600 cm white textile cord and a clear canopy measuring Ø 15.5 cm and 5.5 cm in height, allowing for flexible installation.

Rated IP20 and Class II, and certified to CE and UKCA standards, Numbra TY1 is intended for indoor use. The LED unit is replaceable and available directly through &Tradition, supporting long-term use and easy maintenance.
