Tunto L 40 - 880 mm - Oak Pendant

Discover the Tunto L 40 Pendant Lamp in oak, a refined lighting piece that unites Finnish design craftsmanship with advanced optical technology. Designed by Mikko Kärkkäinen and crafted in Finland, this 880 mm pendant showcases the natural beauty of solid wood, with each piece displaying the organic variations and evolving character that only genuine wood can offer.

At the heart of the L 40 lies a sophisticated combination of microprism and honeycomb lens optics, engineered to deliver soft, low-glare downward illumination with a Unified Glare Rating below 19. With a color temperature of 2700 K, 3000 K or 4000 K and an excellent color rendering index of Ra 93, this pendant ensures true-to-life, comfortable lighting for any interior setting. The LED source offers a lifespan of up to 50,000 hours, providing long-term reliability and minimal maintenance.

This model is equipped with optional Casambi (Bluetooth) control, allowing seamless, wireless dimming via smartphone, tablet, or the Tunto EnOcean switch. The 2-wire system simplifies installation, requiring only active and neutral wires at the ceiling outlet, while still delivering continuously smooth dimming performance.

Measuring 880 mm in length with a canopy height of 35 mm, width of 220 mm, and depth of 110 mm, the L 40 features a slender 40 x 40 mm wood profile that lends it an elegant, understated presence. The suspension height is adjustable up to 2 meters, and both the power cable and suspension can be shortened to suit your space.

Rated IP20 for indoor use and built to Class II safety standards, the L 40 Pendant Lamp is a timeless addition to contemporary interiors, offering both aesthetic warmth and technical precision.

Available options
Colour temperature: 2700 K, 3000 K or 4000 K · Optic: microprism, honeycomb or lenses · Control: DALI – Push Dim or Casambi (Bluetooth).

Which optic should I choose?
Microprism — diffuses the light for the softest, lowest-glare result; the usual choice above desks and workstations.
Honeycomb — shields the LED so the fitting reads dark from normal viewing angles, with tighter beam control; suits open-plan offices and hospitality.
Lenses — the most directional option, giving crisp, focused light; ideal over dining tables and kitchen islands.
