The L 40 employs advanced microprism and honeycomb lens optics, ensuring soft, low-glare light distribution with a Unified Glare Rating of under 19. With a color temperature of 2700 K, 3000 K or 4000 K and outstanding color rendering (Ra = 93), it delivers crisp, natural-looking light ideal for dining areas, kitchen islands, or workspaces. The fixture directs light downward for focused task or ambient lighting, and its high-quality LED promises up to 50,000 hours of reliable performance.

Equipped with the optional Casambi (Bluetooth) control system, the L 40 allows for effortless, continuous dimming via smartphone, tablet, or the Tunto EnOcean switch — no complex wiring required beyond a standard 2-wire connection. This wireless flexibility makes installation simple while ensuring full control over ambiance and mood lighting.

Measuring 880 mm in length with a canopy height of 35 mm, width of 220 mm, and depth of 110 mm, the pendant suspends via a 2 m adjustable cord, with a 3 m power cable that can be trimmed to suit your space. As with all Tunto wood products, natural variation in grain and tone may occur, enhancing the organic character of each piece over time.

Which optic should I choose?
Microprism — diffuses the light for the softest, lowest-glare result; the usual choice above desks and workstations.
Honeycomb — shields the LED so the fitting reads dark from normal viewing angles, with tighter beam control; suits open-plan offices and hospitality.
Lenses — the most directional option, giving crisp, focused light; ideal over dining tables and kitchen islands.
