Umage Gesture Pendant Lamp

Discover the Umage Gesture Pendant Lamp, a design built around a simple idea: creating a welcoming gesture of light. Its slender, vertical silhouette directs illumination downward into a translucent acrylic shade, where it is gently diffused to cast a warm, indirect glow. Designed by Søren Ravn Christensen, Gesture pairs a precise brass-finished metal structure with acrylic detailing, giving the lamp a light, almost weightless presence.

Rather than exposing the light source directly, Gesture relies on reflected and diffused light for a comfortable, glare-free atmosphere. Its slim proportions make it a natural choice above dining tables, kitchen islands and meeting tables, where several pendants can be grouped without overwhelming the space — on their own as a subtle point of light, or arranged in compositions.

Gesture comes in two lengths: Short (Ø 2.2 × H 44.2 cm, 0.64 kg) and Tall (Ø 2.2 × H 65.5 cm, 0.74 kg), both crafted from aluminium, acrylic and steel and supplied with a 3 m black cord. It works with both rosette and track lighting systems and takes one GY6.35 – 12 V DC bulb, max 6 W LED, sold separately; UMAGE recommends its Little Idea bulb.
