Verpan Series 270 F Armchair

The Series 270 F Armchair is a striking expression of modularity and modernism, crafted from bent plywood. Originally developed in 1965/66 by Verner Panton, this design offered a fresh take on functionality and form, and VERPAN, in close collaboration with Verner Panton Design AG, now reintroduces this rare gem to a new generation of admirers.

Constructed from bent and lacquered birch plywood, FSC certified, the armchair combines a light structure with remarkable durability. Its sculptural silhouette reflects Panton's pioneering approach to shaping material into fluid, functional forms, resulting in a piece that feels as sculptural as it is comfortable.

The armchair measures 74 cm in height, 65.5 cm in width, and 60 cm in depth, with a seat height of 36 cm, making it a versatile addition to both residential and contemporary commercial interiors. It comes in five finishes — Honey-stained, Black, Orange Red, Brown Red and Klein Blue — allowing it to adapt to a variety of interior palettes. A separate seat cushion is available in three Hallingdal 65 textiles and two Sørensen leathers.

Verner Panton (1926-1998) remains one of the most inspirational and colourful personalities in modern design history. Renowned for his distinctive sense of colour, shape, and spatial function, Panton approached furniture and lighting with an unmatched faith in the unlimited possibilities of form, forging new theories about how design should interact with its surroundings.
