Vitra Wooden Dolls Mother Fish & Child

Introducing the charming Wooden Doll Mother Fish and Child from Alexander Girard's iconic collection. This delightful duo adds a marine twist to the traditional Wooden Doll family, featuring a mother fish and her little one in an expressive horizontal pose. Unlike the standing figures in Girard’s series, these aquatic characters bring a serene and playful element to any space. Crafted with meticulous care, each piece retains the whimsy and attention to detail that Girard's designs are celebrated for.

The Vitra Wooden Dolls, designed by Alexander Girard in 1952, capture a whimsical essence through their representation of both human and animal motifs. Originally created for his Santa Fe home, these decorative figures have been faithfully reproduced from the originals housed in the Vitra Design Museum. Hand-painted and crafted, each doll in the collection stands out as a unique artifact, slightly varied, yet perfect in its individuality. Adorn your home with these timeless pieces to add a touch of Girard’s playful spirit and artistic flair.
